Taco Ride

Hi everyone!

On Thursday night, Jamie and I decided to take part in an Omaha tradition: the Taco Ride!

Taco Ride takes place every Thursday (even in the snow!) and involves a bike ride on the Wabash to Mineola (10 miles there and 10 miles back) and lots of tacos and beer. There were probably over 100 people on the trail with us last night, so its quite the task to stay out of people's way, but that makes it interesting!

The tradition is pretty funny too. About 6 miles in there is an area of picnic tables that everyone calls "Margaritaville" and stops for a beverage or two before finishing out the last 4 miles into Mineola.

When we arrived at Toby Jack's, it was packed. Lots of people were out for Taco Ride and the party.

Jamie and I didn't stay for too long because neither of us had lights for our bike, but most people stay until 9 or 10 at night just having a good time and ride back in the dark. Maybe next time :)

When we got back to our cars, we were a mess because of the dust from the limestone trail, but it was definitely worth it.

Another Omaha tradition checked off the list!
