Bags of Veggies

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Summer is coming in fast. Everyone is finishing up school, the sun sets later and later, pools are opening, and all I want to do is enjoy this time of year outside! Of course all this great weather is a sign to me that its almost time to move back home! I don't want to wish June and July away, but August...please please please hurry up!!

Today: I officially have only 2 more months left in Omaha!

The countdown has begun :).

Now on to more exciting things...

This week I've been working on the whole - get up early in the morning and workout - thing. On both Monday and Wednesday, I attended a 5:30 am Yoga class and loved it. Lately I've been really tired and sluggish, and those feelings last all day. I figured making myself get up, work on getting the blood flowing, and meditating about the day ahead would start me off on a better foot.

I also love the fact that when you get up early you have extra time in the morning, so of course I have been hitting up Aromas and even getting a little extra work done.

More productivity is always good.

Also this week started my CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Program.
Interested consumers purchase a share, or membership, and in return receive a bag of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season. The Tomāto Tomäto CSA will begin June 4th and continue for 20 weeks. This will secure you with fresh produce for almost half the year.
I picked up my first bag of fresh produce this week. Included was:

Farm Fresh Eggs or Cheese

Honey Whole Wheat Bread from Great Harvest Bread Company Omaha, NE

Tomatoes from Garden Fresh Vegetables, O'Neill, NE

Kohlrabi from Grandview Farms, Lincoln, NE

Spinach/Lettuce and Radishes from Pekarek's Produce, Dwight, NE

Spring Onions from Pekarek's Produce, Dwight, NE

Honey from It's All About Bees, Ralston, NE

I am really excited about getting these bags of different veggies every week!

Now to finish up some important work because its almost Friday! Have a great day everyone :)
