Can't Complain on a Beautiful Day

Happy Monday!

I have been looking into ways to find more energy throughout the day (they have been dragging along lately during the work week) and I read a great article with tips on ways to increase your energy. My favorite tip was to think a positive thought first thing in the morning. Definitely going to work on that more, I know I wake up in the morning and the first thing I think is: "Noooo I don't want to go to work." I am going to try really hard this week to work on one positive thought every morning. Today was simple:

Today is going to be a good day.

But first, back to the weekend.

After my decent run on Saturday, I was ready for a relaxing day Sunday. It was a different kind of relaxing day than a normal lazy Sunday. I met Kari for lunch at Roja, the Mexican grill, then headed out to Carter Lake to lay out in the sun.

Yep, that's right. March in Nebraska (80 degrees) and I'm out sunbathing by the lake. My life could be worse, right? Thank goodness for an early spring, I was so over winter.

Check out this crazy boat/car thing that went by. We saw it drive straight out of the water and drive down the road. Strange things in Nebraska.

After a few hours of sun (and hopefully a little bit of a tan), we headed downtown for some Ted and Wally's Homemade Ice Cream. Dutch Chocolate with Oreos, yes please!!

This was all sadly followed by the basketball game Sunday night. I still love my Tarheels regardless - and March Maddess is a whole lot less exciting without them.

Today I woke up feeling positive and ready to go. I had a busy day at work and then headed home for my regular cycling class and then decided to take the baby girl on a walk. Look at this little goober.

Colby and I decided to take a different route today and walked more towards Creighton. Can't complain on a beautiful day.

Until tomorrow...

Have a great night!!
