Weekend Recap: Part II of III

(A continuation of this post)

Saturday morning Matthew and I woke up bright and early to this view...

A beautiful sunrise, a perfect way to start our weekend in Colorado. First, we headed to Boulder. It was pretty early so we decided to get a big breakfast, skip lunch, and enjoy dinner in Denver later. On our way downtown, we ran across this little gem.

This place was located close to the University and packed so we knew it had to be good. As it turns out, Adam from "Man Vs. Food" had been there before too, so then we were positive it was legit.

Such a cute place! From there, we headed downtown to Pearl Street...

...where I fell in love.

This area was absolutely adorable. I could honestly envision myself living near this area, walking to the bookstore and coffee shops, going out to eat in the cute little restaurants, it was just so perfect.

The happy birthday boy
The Boulder Bookstore, where I spent most of the morning.
We decided we also wanted to check out the University of Colorado at Boulder, so we headed a little ways around the road to walk around campus and pretend like we were back in college.

The campus was so beautiful and just made me love Boulder more. I could definitely see myself spending a few years out here... :)

From here we headed back to the hotel for a little nap and some time time with the baby girl.

Then it was Denver for the night. But first, we made a stop at the Coors Brewery in Golden, CO.

Then off to Denver!

It was a cloudy afternoon and as we walked down 16th Street Mall it began to rain. We scooted into a cute little sushi restaurant in LoDo called "Sonoda's" and were amazed.

The sushi just kept coming...

and coming...

and coming.

It was so yummy, honestly I could barely breath when we were finished I was so full. They even capped off the meal with oranges as a dessert.

A perfect end to a perfect day.
