So as mentioned earlier, Matthew and I spent a day last weekend on the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. It is the longest pedestrian bridge connecting two states (Nebraska and Iowa) and is 2,224 ft long.
It was such a beautiful day so we brought Colby and made our way across the Missouri River.
We even took the time to stand one foot in Nebraska and one foot in Iowa (or in Colby's case, one paw in Nebraska and one paw in Iowa!) :)
It was a fun afternoon adventure, something I am sure we will repeat a few more times before it gets too cold. Today was about 92 degrees, tomorrow the high is 75 degrees, and Wednesday the high is 58 degrees...so winter is on its way in full force!
On a different note, I have a very special announcement! Today is my oldest brother's 26th birthday! He is getting old and grey by the minute. But, something even more exciting has happen to him recently...he is engaged! Just last week my brother and his girlfriend became officially engaged when she said "YES!" I am so excited that Rachael will be joining our family and can't wait for the wedding!
Happy Birthday JJ!! And congrats again to you and Rachael :)
I am not getting grey. To quote dad: "My dad has hair and none of it is grey." My addition: "My dad has hair and none of it is grey, and my grandfather has hair and none of it is grey." So take that!
