Church, Chili, and Football

Today has been a great day of crossing things off my to-do list. A fun fact about me, I am obsessed with my planner and to-do lists.

Thankfully I had no workout on the schedule for today because
a) I am pretty sore from the 9-miler yesterday and
b) it is one ugly day outside: rainy and cold.

On the agenda first, mass at a new church that I had never been to, St. Cecilia's Cathedral. This place was enormous. I can not believe I did not know it existed. Its the main cathedral for Omaha and probably one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in.

I couldn't take that many pictures, but here are a few more I found online.

The mass wasn't too bad either. But I have to admit, St. Mary Margret is still my favorite church in Omaha. From here I headed to the local grocery store, Bakers, to buy groceries for the week. Included were the ingredients to fix vegetarian chili for tonight / tomorrow.

The chili has been cooking for the past 5 hours and man, does my apartment smell so good! In the mean time I've been watching football while working on cleaning up my apartment. The progress today documented as:

Before -

After -

Now its time to wait on the chili to finish cooking, watch the Giants/49ers games, and catch up on some reading.

Another great Sunday.
