Today is the Day...

...that we head home! Today around 11 am Matthew and I are going to be all loaded up and heading east. Unfortunately it is a 20 hour drive so we only plan to make it to Illinois tonight, but hey its east! I had to go into work this morning, but I got in super early (7:30 am) and plan to leave around lunch (or maybe a little earlier) to take a half day. So right now I'm sitting in the same coffee shop (Caffeine Dreams) working on my research and listening to Dave Matthews on Pandora.

(I know I'm sitting in the exact same spot.)

So the plan is to make it to Champaign, IL tonight which will be so much fun because I am familiar with the area. Both of my parents attended the University of Illinois (located in Champaign) so hopefully Matthew and I will make it there before its too late and we can explore around the University. A definite on our itinerary is pizza at Papa Del's, yummmmmmm some deep dish Chicago pizza!

So please send us good thoughts and positive vibes for safe travels: ie. no snow storms or car trouble (Matthew's jeep has over 350,000 miles on it!) My next post should be coming from the east coast!
