- Work is getting busy, I'm starting to feel like I may be taking on too much.
- I've got so much excitement about the direction of my work this year, but I'm still all over the place.
- There's some crazy drama going on at work that I don't know all the details about - so I feel strangely left out.
- Grad school apps are starting to pile up, I'm getting really nervous about handing my fate over to admissions boards.
- The dern midwestern weather can't decide if it wants to be summer, fall, or winter. One day its in the 70's and the next its in the 40's, its starting to get annoying.
Tonight I almost had a mental breakdown in the grocery store - all this mounting stress mixed with too many people, grocery carts, and decisions don't mix well. So with all of my stress, I've decided to take the night off - from cheerleading practice, from working out, from cooking, from people and the outside world.
Colby thought today was a good day to de-stress too. |
Taking the night off from the lights. |
So in order to bring some calm and peace into my life, I've decided to make a list of all the things that make me happy - blog therapy, right?
- Big cups of coffee (currently pumpkin spice flavored)
- Time with Matthew
- Toasty bed sheets that just swallow you whole
- The feeling after a long, sweaty run
- The smell of clean towels
- Sitting outside enjoying appetizers (particularly pretzels with Kathryn!)
- Dance parties
- Sledding down Creekridge
- A good book that makes you cry
- Enjoying a tasty seasonal beer/coffee/cheesecake with my Mommy at Emorywood
- Reading fitness blogs!
- Snuggling with my pup
- Fun nights out with friends in Raleigh
- Pedicures
- Being at the beach.
- The feeling of checking off something on a to-do list
- Wings from Sammy's covered in Sammy's Sauce
- Napping on rainy afternoons
- Family waffleball tournaments
- Orange juice in my favorite glass
- People doing the right thing when no one is looking
- Lazy Sundays
- A good concert
I could go on forever baby (Home Alone reference..haha :)........
But for now, Colby and I are in a much better mood. No more stress tonight!
