A group of us headed east into Iowa around 4pm on Saturday. We had dinner plans to meet Cotten downtown at the Raccoon River Brewing Company.
They brewed their own beer, which is always amazing, and the food was so so so good! There was even a live band and lots of dancing. A great atmosphere, a great choice by Cotten. (Unfortunately I was having so much fun I forgot to snap any pictures). It was a wonderful time catching up with a great friend.

After dinner, we headed over to the event center for the Ragbrai Annoucement Party. It was a really neat building with crazy lighting. The purpose of the party was to announce the towns that Ragbrai will ride through so there was a lot of people there cheering on their towns. Plus the event came with a free pint glass and complementary beer so people were having a great night. There was also a pretty good cover band, so lots of dancing.
After a crazy Saturday and lazy Sunday, Monday has come a little too fast, but I can not complain too much about this Monday...all day the weather was sunshine and in the upper 60s. Omaha set a record high today for January 30th and I could not be happier. I spent about two hours today at work sitting outside and reading papers.
I truly believe that sunshine is one of the best cures for anything.
