The Lights

Yesterday, Kari and I got most of our Christmas shopping done and decided that we wanted to go downtown at night to check out the Christmas lights that were put up. We wondered around through Heartland of America Park and were amazed from all of the beautiful light.

(Sorry about some of the blurriness, my hands were shaking from the cold).

We wondered down toward ConAgra were they have set up a huge outdoor ice skating rink. They were clearing off the ice when we got there and there was a huge line of people, so we decided just to watch instead of skate. We definitely have plans to return when its not so crowded. What's so neat about this rink is that ConAgra is donating all of the proceeds to the "Shine the Light" foundation that is trying to produce one million meals this holiday season for hungry children (1 in 5 children in Nebraska are food insecure).

From here we headed into the Old Market for some Chai Tea Lattes and warmth. Even the Old Market was lit up!

Now its off to do more Christmas shopping with Matthew! Have a great Saturday :).
