1. Lazy. It is starting to get really cold here and all I want to do after work is cuddle up in bed and do absolutely nothing. So that's basically what I have been doing the last few days.

2. Injury. Unfortunately I think I pushed myself a little to hard last week and messed up my metatarsal (bone on the ball of my foot). I'm pretty sure its just bruised (hopefully nothing more serious), all I know is that it hurts like heck to just stand on my left foot.

Pain = trying to take it easy, so time off from the gym = going crazy! Metatarsal injuries are pretty common in runners, it just stinks because that means I can't run :(.
3. PLAY! An after-school program that I have been helping design with the education AmeriCorps VISTAs kicked off this week so I stayed late at work Tuesday, Wednesday, and today. Lots of fun but
My senior year in college I was lucky enough to be a part of another PLAY program: bringing Club Sport athletes into the local Orange County Middle Schools to increase physical activity in the after-school programs. I loved being a part of such a positive program.
I can only hope this program can mirror what the Orange County Health Department and UNC Club Sports created. The new after-school program in Nebraska includes a Chess club Tuesday afternoons, a book club Wednesday afternoons (reading the Hunger Games series), and my PLAY- physical activity class on Thursdays. There are a few differences, mainly that I am in charge of planning and teaching the physical activities. Today, to kickoff the program, I taught kickboxing!
Hopefully the craziness of this week has passed and I can get back on a regular schedule (and hopefully back in the gym again) soon! Smile because tomorrows Friday :).
